Aretha Franklin was raised as a church-going gospel singer.

Perhaps it would render her the most respect to use language that would be presentable in church.

Perhaps some clever artiste could remodel Beatrice's little number so that it looks like an Obama "O" with a bit of patriotic embellishment?

shoeboxes, and the bespoke suits for the gents--they look like something out of a bad Dick Tracy cartoon.

It's expected over there; that stupid thing with the hats. Don't forget the feathers that Camilla wore as a bride a few years back!

And Queenie herself--she always looks like a villainess in a Disney cartoon--loud colors and HUGE hats....it's just a thing with those folk. Some of these are a laugh-riot: http://pinterest.com/dsl904/queen-elizabeth-ii-s-hats-and-crowns/

On the bright side, where would American Church Ladies get their ideas, if not for British excess? Most hats and wighats I've seen around my old neighborhood look like they're Queenie knockoffs!

And on edit--Donald Trump really wore Beatrice's hat better--it hid that squirrel on his head!!!

let their mom come to the wedding. William and Kate apparently wanted her to come but she wasn't invited. This was supposedly paybacks so I salute them. Standing up for their mama is okay in my book. Even if some of these little hats are comical.
