(260 posts)hates gay people, believe black people get all the benefits, believe Social Security is a Ponzi scheme, use hate as a wedge, hate that churches are integrated, hate school integration, hate people of color or different gender identity, self-hate with mysoginistic view points, believe the Civil War was a war of Northern aggression, believe black males are a clear and present danger, and believe people that hold progressive ideas are literally criminals.
Now that you know the core of the Republican base, please tell me other than complete suppression and rejection if these persons world view by total sequester by voting their viewpoints into electoral devastation, you can only appeal to the throngs that vote Republican by making them own the parade of horrible s they claim they "really are not about".
You can't fix stupid but you have to recognize it and not accept it as a valid political ideology.

(18,402 posts)I'm sorry, but the only way I can understand all this is to think our society has completely lost all thought process, all humanity, all civility, and all sense of moral and ethical standards. It's still unimaginable to me that all this could have been overlooked by a vast number of my fellow citizens.
