2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumMy conservative coworker (and friends) did not vote in the Presidential ballot
She said she has her church women's group (about 30 women) decided they would not vote for anyone for President and just vote on the other races on the ballot. Hopefully a lot of republicans are doing this and it costs Trump Texas

(58,785 posts)Wish they didn't vote at all, though. People want "change" but don't realize that requires big changes in Congress and state legislatures.
How hard is it to remember that CONGRESS makes the laws and controls the pursestrings?

(114 posts)I said the same thing about the NH vote. Look not only that there were write-ins, but the types of people written in.
Kaisch and Romney. Not Cruz. I think this is a signal that many would have liked a more moderate choice
It may be a much more significant number of write-in's this time around.

(28,284 posts)The Texas county I live in routinely goes 75% Republican in all elections---but this time around, I see very few Trump yard signs, hardly any Trump bumper-stickers, not all that many pro-Trump posts appearing on local and state online sites. Suits me fine---the Republicans brought this on themselves, so they can do the repair work.
