There is a petition at the above link asking Obama to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate Comey. Let's see how he likes the shoe on the other foot!

If anyone would like to share this out to places like Facebook, please do. I'm having issues with Facebook and it won't let me post the link.

How would a special prosecutor see inside Comey's brain to prove bad motivation? Cicada Oct 2016 #10
They can investigate whether he 'interfered in an election' Stonepounder Oct 2016 #25
I don't think it is against the law to influence an election Cicada Oct 2016 #32
It absolutely IS against the law for government employees to attempt to influence an election. Stonepounder Oct 2016 #33
Ok, I did not know exactly what the Hatch Act prohibits. Thanks for teaching me. Cicada Oct 2016 #36

No prosecutor can prove Comey' s stated reasons are not true. So he can not be found guilty. So no appointment of a prosecutor would be proper.

No prosecutor can 'see inside a brain' so it is not about 'motivation'. If you rob a bank to feed your starving kids, or rob it because you need money for drugs it is still illegal.

Comedy violated department policy but that is not illegal.

The Hatch Act of 1939, officially An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities, is a United States federal law whose main provision prohibits employees in the executive branch of the federal government, except the president, vice-president, and certain designated high-level officials of that branch, from engaging in some forms of political activity.

a response won't be given for at least a month. Considering the pressing nature of getting this resolved immediately, I don't see how it can help, unless you can get press on this matter today and have already accumulated over 100,000 signatures.

But, it will serve as a warning to others that violating policy, thinking you know better, and breaking the law is going to be looked at very hard and may mean the end of your career in government.

I just watched it go from 149 to 138 on a refresh!

Anyway, "We the People" starts with the petition creator getting the first 150 signatures.

Then, the petition becomes active on site!
