"The Hidden Hillary Vote" a very real thing

From an acquaintance who is a moderate republican and says she will be voting Hillary...

"Well we know for sure, we can survive a Clinton Presidency.. we have been there before.. but this Trump.. He could destroy the party, and and damage the country.. I am voting for Hillary, because maybe we can then get our party cleaned up and the bat sh*t crazy out of it, and try with a normal politician in 2020"..

They keep talking about an enthusiasm gap for Clinton.. I think maybe we are really looking at voters who want stability.. After seeing what passed in the republican primary and the campaign so far between Trump and Clinton.. people do not want a performer..but someone who will keep the country pulled together..

I think there are a few other things not counted as well:
1) Polls typically undercount minority vote percentages. All minorities are strongly pro-Clinton, perhaps even more so than in 2012.
2) In both 2008 and 2012, Obama had a great ground game/GOTV operation. McCain and Romney were mediocre in that category, but still much better than Trump’s nearly non-existent ground game. For example – in 2012, Obama was up 1-2% in the various final poll aggregates, but won by 4%. So, he outperformed the polls by 2-3% due to his superior GOTV operation. Clinton has inherited the Obama GOTV operation, with Trump relying on his personality and rallies to get out the vote. It will fail. I could easily see Clinton outperforming the polls by 3-5%. They simply don't have the people there to call voters, drive them to the polls, etc.

...we've hooked up again because of tRump. Believe me, there are a whole hella lot of religious, conservative men and women that realize a tRump Presidency would be disastrous for this country. Many cannot openly speak out because of political, religious AND business connections, but they will NOT vote for tRump, and may surreptitiously vote for HRC.

I have faith in the other guy delivering as many states as humanly possible to Clinton. I may be the only one beyond all this but I wonder what number of mad dog Southerners can guarantee anything with a GOP non-union label on it. So does he deserve on calm rational merits to earn any electors in the three digit area? Not compared to past losers in landslides. Even the solid core is sorely tested when your guy is trying very hard to lose and bring utter shame on you for voting for him. None of the other losers were trying to slap Americans in the face, look incompetent, criminal and otherwise completely stupid.

So who do we expect to receive the indictment of history for being the most stubborn hotbed of GOP support? Mississippi? Louisiana? To think they used to be proud yellow dog Dems until we opened up civil rights for their black neighbors. People like this used to brag they would forgive their GOP candidates anything, the power of amoral gamewinning. But now this vote reads not like a choice or a stand but an indictment, an utter shaming that cannot be erased because they don't like HRC mostly because of pretty conscious acceptance of lies. A mean and joyful feasting on lies. Certainly they deserve the shame even as they grimly try to rig things per usual downticket. This will not work well in a presidential year. Plan to keep burying them for the 2018 midterms. They did that to us under simian Bush.

So my fondest wish is a complete rout even if the basta++s preserve too much of their ill gotten gains. Crush them into the dustbin. These latter day Whigs embraced Shiva the Destroyer to win politically what they would not deserve by any kind of service to the people or the country. They did not choose to go gently into the long night so rush them on their way. Get them over with before they kill us all in their mindless stupidity, their clouds of distracting hate and thieving practices.

You have to be a marked moron and a senseless hater to vote Trump. He seals this himself like and an angel of his own Apocalypse. It is immoral and unpatriotic. And what is the essence of stupidity but abusing all reason in the service of your personal lies?

We have a future to deal with. The GOP is past by their own arrogant choices.
