How do you not discuss foreign policy with your VP candidate?

In reference to Trump's comment that he, "hadn't discussed" Syria with Pence and that he, in fact, "disagreed with" Pence's position after being quoted it tonight?

Unbelievable.

Pence outlined an anti-Russian pro-war position that Trump never approved. I believe that Trump's answer indicated that he disagreed with Pence, who was speaking for himself and not for Trump.

I think it's atypical. I think that Pence said some things that represented her personal views, and that he didn't have agreement on those things with Trump. I recall thinking that what Pence said at the VP debate was highly different from Trump's expressed views on Syria. I think that Pence is likely a war maniac, and would gladly support jihadists in Syria.
