In 2012, Allred was hired by trans beauty contestant Jenna Talackova, who had been barred from competing in the Miss Universe pageant because she was not a “naturally born” woman.
At a press conference, Allred said that Talackova was being unfairly “excluded from a business opportunity” and sued for discrimination. During the press appearance, Allred pointed out that when Takackova — a former Miss Canada — applied to the Miss Universe pageant, she did not demand proof that Trump was a “naturally born” male.
“She did not ask Mr. Trump to prove that he is a naturally born man,” said Allred. “Or to see the photos of his birth, to view his anatomy to prove that he was male. It made no difference to her. Why should it have made a difference to him?”
Trump fired off an angry call to gossip network TMZ, who he told, “I think Gloria would be very very impressed with me, I really do. I think she’d have a whole brand new image of Donald Trump.”
