(18,672 posts)I have a millennial daughter and nephew. They aren't voting 3rd party, either. It's weird how almost all generations are picking on them. I've been around a lot of millennials - they seem to have their heads screwed on right. Just all around great kids with great priorities who happened to have been given the short end of the stick by prior generations who were given so much and then pulled the rug in behind them.

(22,881 posts)Many were very passionate Bernie supporters..but among the millennials I know.. not one.. not a single one is going third party..but a number of the X'ers I know decided to go third party.. now after that Johnson debacle last night, I do not know where they stand.. that might have changed things around big time

(6,496 posts)but I am barely an Xer. I was born at the end of the seventies, so I'm in a weird zone in terms of generations, but I think I'm typically classified as Gen X and I've always felt more Gen X being into Nirvana in high school and all. I just looked it up and my oldest child is early 2000s and sometimes that is classified as Millennial just as the late 70's are also sometimes classified as Millennials. I'd like to think I'm not in the same generation as my son. I'm 23 years older than him. They don't seem to have very clear definitions on Gen X or Millennial. I don't know what the deal is with that. So I'm not sure if I'm important because I'm Millennial or not important because I am Gen X... because we all know Gen X doesn't matter at all right? That is what the media seems to say. And if my oldest son is a Millennial then there are still a few of them that are not even old enough to vote or even drive a car yet.
