A gift for us, and a pain in the ass for Republicans, that will be there to remind them of PBO for the next 40 years!

...besides Obama's victory and many other great Democratic victories...

Relief! Deep, satisfying, now-I-can-finally-sleep-soundly relief!

For weeks, especially after the worries caused by the first debate, I went to bed worrying about the election, I woke up worrying about the election. I was frantically checking DU for new information.

I always thought Obama's odds were good -- it's not like I was all gloom and doom -- but even a 10% chance of a Romney win (and Romney's odds got higher than that for a while) was a bit too much for me to bear.

The Dream Act...

It's so very important.

Please read up on it if you haven't. Also, read about my friend, Jose. He was the Valedictorian of my high school graduating class and is a prime example of why we need the Dream Act.

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/04/24/11369925-can-an-illegal-immigrant-become-a-lawyer?lite

Jose Manuel Godinez-Samperio was brought to the United States from Mexico by his parents when he was nine years old. Sixteen years later, he had graduated from his Florida high school as class valedictorian, become an Eagle Scout, completed college and law school, and passed the state bar exam.

But one big accomplishment eluded him: citizenship. Godinez-Samperio is in the country illegally, which could keep him from achieving another part of his American dream: becoming a lawyer.
