DWS should have no role in Hillary's campaign. I say this as big Hillary supporter.

I'm a big Hillary supporter. I loathe Bernie or Bust and the Green Party and everyone else who is trying to get Trump elected by taking votes away from Hillary. But even though it is Bernie or Busters who are the most adamant anti-DWS force, it's time to capitulate to them and cut her loose.

Personally, I don't really have an opinion about DWS either way. But a lot of people hate her. Justified or not. We need their votes. DWS needs to disappear to an undisclosed location until December. After that they can set her up with a cushy consulting gig, she can sit on boards and give speeches, her kids will get recommendation letters that get them into Harvard, everything will be great in her life. She just can't be part of this presidential campaign.

Is it fair that she gets ousted for emails someone else wrote? Probably not. Is there sexism at work? Probably. But the stakes are way too high. Life isn't fair. Time to take one for the team.

1. I highly doubt she will have any role in Hillary's campaign. She has some damned good people already

5. She should not have a symbolic role either. She's a lightning rod. It's bad politics.

I feel for her, I think she's been unfairly and sexist-ly targeted. But it is what it is. We need to stop Trump. Have George Soros set her up with a $2M-a-year consulting gig somewhere afterwards. But for now, she needs to disappear.

Most Democrats have no idea who DWS is.

They'll probably confuse this ridiculous email "scandal" with the other ridiculous email "scandal".

The media will jump up and down because they have nothing else to scream about. And the Bernie or Bust folks will do the same. At least for a few more days.

Yeah, most people don't know who she is, but some do, and we need their votes. And also we don't need the networks and papers talking about DWS instead of the convention.

... or just circle back to some old outrage.

You could push DWS out into the arctic sea on an tiny ice flow and the media, and the BoB folks would scream about something else.

Yeah, they'd find something else. But this is what they found.

Like I said in the OP, I have no love whatsoever for BoBs. They are trying to get Trump elected. But we need votes. The election is too close. Maybe sending DWS to Siberia wouldn't placate all of them, but it would placate more of them than making her honorary campaign co-chair.

No matter what happens, the media, and the BoB folks will still scream bloody murder anyway.

I would call it Public Relations Malpractice to let her anywhere near the convention.

Plus, is it such a big deal for her to skip this week or two??? It will make the Bernie people feel better and that's a good thing...right? I don't want them to feel slapped around. Just because they had a different candidate doesn't mean they don't deserve some respect for their feelings.

This is politics. She can take a vacay and start her own campaign.

If anyone knows that politics is about perceptions and sometimes you have to take one for the team, it's her.

At this point, either way, her career as a big-time Dem politician is probably over. She'll never be a Senator. Too many people don't like her. I'm sure she's disappointed, but those are the breaks. I'll never be a Senator either. Just bow out gracefully and then go on to what will be a lucrative private sector career. Dem donors like her, she'll be set up for life.
