4. If English were my second or fourth language, I'd want as much help as possible.

And that would be sincere truth. Public speaking in a foreign language to a native speaking audience is extra demanding. Without a written text, double that because you translate your thinking in real time.

Imagine being in her many pairs of fine, plutocratic shoes, metaphorically of course, and you read previous first lady speeches to find out what is appropriate to the occasion, an appearance and speaking task you've managed to avoid for months, and then you sit down and write what you would say. How close could they possibly end up. If you copy and paste, intent on rewording to what you would say, the match can be more.

I like how academic writing enjoys the benefit of attribution, allowing you to write what others say when appropriate to your story. I've copied and pasted often and prefer using my own wording even when not necessary. But I've also trashed whole docs after losing track of which writing was mine and which was research. Best to keep stuff in distinct files when composing your own thoughts. Or keep yourself very attentive and organized.

I'd bet on some flunky Donald hired being the screw up, that person being the described "as little help as needed" person, little help as needed being a lot for a second language speaker. The more minions involved, the greater the odds of screwing up. Any bets on how many "You're fired"'s this one generates?

I'd like to think she is as smart as Michelle. If so, then you have to imagine she is reading the speech the first time it rolls and she thinks, "MFing Donald is making me read Michelle's speech" as she reads it. But that might be expecting too much.

has it on the front page. I don't see the plagiarism mentioned on MSNBC website. Guess the morning people on MSNBC will simply ignore it....starting with Morning Joe panel.
