(116,028 posts)even if she should be. I don't think she will be, though, because she's Hillary.

(36,418 posts)Good idea?
The Velveteen Ocelot
(116,028 posts)If they wouldn't go after Bush and Cheney or the banksters who crashed the economy, do you seriously think they'll prosecute Hillary? It would look terrible for the Obama administration if his former SoS had to do the perp walk. And it would be powerful ammunition against any Democrat who stepped in to run in her place.

(36,418 posts)decides whether to indict, not the FBI. The question is, if she's found to have committed crimes, should the party leaders allow her to continue to run for President? Good idea?

(8,379 posts)When Hillary Rodham Clinton becomes the first woman President of the United States.
I will cry and cry.
Tears of unadulterated joy.

(2,427 posts)I realized we all get introduced to Justice early on and everyone eventually gets to watch her get ravaged and wrecked until there is nothing but an unrecognizable pulp, lathered in the saliva and lucre of the damned.
So, if HRC gets the nomination and the nation ignores her indiscretions, I'll be long out of tears.

(2,935 posts)Bill and Hillary Clinton are dirtier than a Dust Bowl farm at noondown. I'd be shocked if Her Highness served her full term.

(1,258 posts)I never thought I'd live to see somebody out BFEE'ing the BFEE. And I really, really, really never thought it would be in my own party.
I think I might cry for:
Haiti
Honduras
Columbia
Libya
Syria
Iraq
Iran
Nigeria
Yemen

(20,317 posts)If there isn't then the last thing I'd want is for her to be indicted. Hopes and wishes don't figure into it.
I take it you think she shouldn't be indicted, period, whether there's a case against her or not?
trudyco
(1,258 posts)then I wish that the laws be changed so the unethical can be prosecuted as illegal.

(154,021 posts)if there is cause, she should, If there is no cause, she should not.
But the reaction is rather telling.
And for the record, what I know from the justice system from actually covering courts, the only color that really, really matters in the courts, is green.

(72,790 posts)If her actions warrant an indictment, then I hope she is indicted, charged and tried, as I would hope the same for the average citizen.
But, I hope she is not indicted. It would not be good for the party. It would be quite the mess.

(37,428 posts)A candidate getting indicted, however, would be a disastrous thing for the party, whether or not the case were solid. Hell, as we saw in 2000, bad judgment doesn't have to have been officially declared criminal to tip an election.
The Velveteen Ocelot
(116,028 posts)Not being indicted didn't help him much.

(1,742 posts)But leading up to that I'll be looking hard at her VP selection.
Hopefully it will be someone I'd feel comfortable taking over, if necessary.
Because....you know.
