2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumby Robert Reich:
'Hillary Clinton said yesterday she wouldnt debate Bernie ahead of the important June 7 California primary. I can understand her eagerness to have the primaries behind her, but I think this is a tactical mistake. Even if she gets the nomination, shell need Bernies supporters, and such a debate would have offered her a chance to reach out to them. Instead, her refusal to debate and assumption of the mantle of the Democratic nominee will just further enflame Bernie backers.
Last week she said there was no way she would not be the Democratic Partys nominee. But Bernie defeated her this month in Indiana, West Virginia and Oregon. And even without a debate, she and Bernie are headed into a tight race in California.
What do you think?

I think this is another example of bad judgment.
