Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama's former top military intelligence official said Hillary Clinton should pull out of the presidential race while the FBI investigate her use of a private email server for official government communication while secretary of state.
Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the retired chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency, made the call in an interview with Jake Tapper on "The Lead."
"If it were me, I would have been out the door and probably in jail," said Flynn, who decried what he said was a "lack of accountability, frankly, in a person who should have been much more responsible in her actions as the secretary of state of the United States of America."

(44,120 posts)You might want to catch up on the fact that the FBI isn't leaking. They are the only ones who know the investigation and where it is leading.
All this stuff from GOP hacks is nothing but speculation. We've seen this movie before. Take it with a grain of salt is all I am saying.

(29,705 posts)to bolster your claims against Clinton. I've seen so many right wing sources from you and now you're using quotes from Trump's agent. I find it really quite distressing. This is the Democratic Underground and at one time we did not use these kinds of sources.

That should signal you that your denial has gone way too deep and you need to come back to reality.
Many, many top people in Intelligence have come out with similar comments. Some worked for Obama and some not, but they all understand what is going on, and you OBVIOUSLY don't, and apparently don't care to inform yourself.

(68,556 posts)I guess you now support the Iraq war and torture ...because your 'expert' Flynn does. Oh he hates Obama too.
Demsrule86
(68,556 posts)He was one of the architects of the Iraq war and supports torture...he stayed on...as Obama was 'reaching' across the aisle but he is a hater. This has been posted before. Oh and he is advising Trump...if you actually listen to the Tapper video link you provided, he admits it. So now you post is about a Trump surrogate attacking Hillar.y You pretend he is a Democrat...he is no Democrat. He wrote a nasty book about Biden and hates Obama.
But in interviews with current and former U.S. defense and intelligence officials, one name continues to surface as a trusted Trump adviser and go-to man on intelligence and national security: Retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a well-known and outspoken critic of the Obama administrations campaign against ISIS and its foreign policy.
In Trump, Flynn may have found a kindred spirita brash, candid provocateur who seems more interested in upending whole systems than in fine-tuning them. He is also the most prominent name to emerge of those who could help shape the nascent Trump doctrine. And that has made some current and former officials who know Flynn nervous.
They question why the retired general, who has earned criticism for his leadership style but has generally been regarded as a well-intentioned professional, would assist a candidate who has called for military actions that would constitute war crimes.
I think Flynn and Trump are two peas in a pod, one former senior U.S. intelligence official who knows Flynn told The Daily Beast. They have this naïve notion that yelling at people will just solve problems.

(146,288 posts)Flynn is a Trump campaign board member. What would you expect him to say?
We know who he is. This nonsense has been posted before and Flynn's Trump connection explained.
The key word is "Former." He is no longer a military intelligence official. He no longer knows what is going on. He is out of that loop, entirely, and has only past information.
He is a Trump adviser. He is a Trump supporter. What would you expect him to say?
This is a very weak argument you have posted. You should probably self-delete it, I think, to avoid further embarrassment.

(146,288 posts)military intelligence official because of that. He's a weird guy. He's nobody that anyone should be listening to.
But, he happens to agree on some point with Clinton opponents. That is apparently enough for some people. It's a sad state of affairs when people are quoting a Trump surrogate here on DU to attack Hillary Clinton. Sad, indeed.

(12,448 posts)that Flynn is a current Trump adviser, as well as being a former Obama military intelligence official. So it's okay to post Trump's campaign as a source now? And please don't say you didn't know, a two-second Google search could have told you about this jerk.
