Press Release
Sanders Campaign Prepares for Remaining Primaries
April 27, 2016
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders spokesman, Michael Briggs, issued the following statement on Wednesday:
Our campaign has now completed 80 percent of the primaries and caucuses. We look forward to winning here in Indiana next Tuesday and in the few remaining states and territories holding primaries and caucuses in May and June. That means that we no longer require many of the loyal and dedicated state and national support staffers who helped us in places like New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and other states where the nominating contests have been completed.
We will continue to have a strong and dedicated staff of more than 300 workers who are going to help us win in California and other contests still to come.
This campaign believes that we have a path toward victory and were going to marshal our resources to do everything we can to win the Democratic nomination.

(2,054 posts)Don't blame a few alleged Bernie supporters you claimed to have talked with when Hillary screws up should she capture the nomination.
Why don't you want to support the candidate who will be more effective against Trump or whoever the Republicans run?
As you know, that candidate is Bernie Sanders and not the former Senator from Wall Street.

(14,255 posts)"Getting out of hand"? oh, that's what the Third Way whined about Liz Warren. A little peevish and authoritarian, eh?
Here's a clue - this primary season never was "in hand". Hillary is a bad candidate and bad campaigner, and, IMO, voting has been tampered with.
Mean Bernie "loyalists"? Awwwww. Cool story.
Lessee - Hillary IS a corporatist. And Bernie is the better candidate, both in policies, deeds, and beliefs, and then - he beats the snot out of Trump. And everyone here in Florida that I mention Bernie to - starts out by saying "anyone but Hillary".. and they have felt that way for years and years.
Also, it is so quaint that you believe the GOP does not have paid Googlers to look up Hillary's baggage. They have been looking forward to this for many years.
Special treat - if Hillary does become president, the GOP will spend half of their time obstructing her, and the other half making a big show out of cooperating with her on war and fracking and the TPP and H-1B visas and other of her RW favorite goals.

I guess its just an ego run for Sanders now...plus the cash of course.

(55,981 posts)Fighting to help the 50 million living in poverty and 2.5 million children that are homeless. Unlike some we will not bow down to a strong authoritarian leader just because we are told to.
Your suggestion that it's an ego run and for cash is pure projection. Just because your side has those principles doesn't mean everyone does.
We will continue to fight for the 99% to the convention and after the convention. I hope we are ruining your martini victory parties.

(55,981 posts)You chose the side of the big banks and Establishment and may win the nomination. Now start looking for excuses or rationalizations as the big banks continue to loot the 99%.

You can return to your self-righteous rage now.

Bernie Sanders Admits He Isnt Sure How to Break Up Big Banks
Its something I have not studied, honestly, the legal implications of that.

(55,981 posts)carry your argument. I assume you don't believe in breaking up the banks. I assume you are ok with the bank "failure" that moved 5 trillion from the 99% to the 1%. I assume you think that 16 million children living in poverty is collateral damage for banks making huge profits.
You call fighting to end poverty and see that the 2.5 million homeless children are cared for is "self-righteous". I am not surprised.
Gloat while you can and start looking for your rationalizations for who to blame when the poverty levels continue to grow.
You will have to find someone else to ridicule. I am done with you.
