Hoping to read more stories like this!

But with Clinton's big win in New York this week, and with primaries in Connecticut and five other states where Clinton appears strong this coming Tuesday, the direction is inevitable.

We're going to see more Sanders backers, and especially more fence-sitters, gain new comfort with an old political hand who doesn't vibrate the walls with anger and comes with baggage that makes some liberals cringe. What she does bring, as she moves away from Sanders as an opponent, toward, presumably, Donald Trump, is a clearer road map on issues such as the one she highlighted Thursday, gun violence.

And in person, as it turns out, her thoughtful, measured approach comes off with more passion than what we see on TV sound bites.
