(37,549 posts)Oh dear. What a signal to NY Catholics.
Do you think this actually helps Sanders up here?
Aerows
(39,961 posts)that Bernie met with the Pope and so many Hillary Clinton supporters maligned his visit to the Vatican.
What a signal, indeed. Bernie saying he had a personal radiance. What a signal.
A Jew gets to visit the Vatican to talk about a moral economy while Hillary is busy trying to rake in campaign cash.
I think Catholics all over the country, not just in NY (I'm certainly not a New Yorker, but I live in Catholic country), saw exactly what that signal was.
As I said.
Collective shit, lost, more evidence.

(14,524 posts)Hillary has no interest in what the conference was about anyway, Economic Justice for the rest of us. She was right where she belongs, taking big bribes from rich people. Exactly appropriate.

(1,729 posts)And, far as I can see, it was Bernie and Sachs who orchestrated that invite. This is definitely Kim Davis 2.0
The best part about it is, it backfired and he he wasted precious campaign time in New York. I'm sure the election results will reflect this. Then we can all go back to talking about the math. :-D

I said something in this thread that I shouldn't have, and deleted it. I think maybe you should, too, then I'll delete this reply.

(34,845 posts)Just as I was having fun with some who thought a bird was a 'sign' of something. The Bern-Love gets a little thick here sometimes. And to be fair, I find it equally absurd to say that Clinton is any more noble or pure than any other candidate. It's all fluff and nonsense and I just dip into DU once in a while now to stretch my rhetorical legs, nothing more.

(15,445 posts)"When I came down, I greeted them, shook their hands and nothing more. This is good manners. It's called good manners and not getting mixed up in politics. If anyone thinks that greeting someone means getting involved in politics, they should see a psychiatrist," the pope said.

No. One. Cares. about the pantload of butthurt, teeth grinding, nail biting, floor pacing, mouth foaming.
Here's a diaper preloaded with ointment, mouthguard, bitter orange, a hallway runner, and dixie cup.
