ALL of the other candidates, for different reasons, represent an interruption to the Status Quo.

In the case of Drumpf and Cruz., that means complete destruction of the planet, possibly, and in the case of Bernie it means an inconvenience to the one percent.

In Hillary's case it also means keeping sanity in many areas, but clearly Bernie is not who the establishment wants.

Bernie represents voters who feel completely disenfranchised by Washington DC and who are deadset against the establishment.

Hillary IS the establishment -- First Lady, Senator, Secretary of State. She pushed to overthrow Saddam -- the result? Chaos and disaster for Iraq and the United States. She pushed to overthrow Gaddafi. The result? Chaos and disaster for Libya and the United States. Now name a war we've fought since Vietnam that Hillary was against .... I thought so. Crickets.

I saw this piece this morning. The headline plainly doesn't agree with the facts. So when people scan the headlines they get a distorted view about what happened. There have been dozens and dozens of these during the campaign. So it's not just TV that's shilling for hil. There is no excuse for a headline like this on this story. The facts do not support it.

Clinton and Sanders both staged huge New York rallies on the same night
Associated Press

Ken Thomas and Catherine Lucey, Associated Press

Sanders' campaign said his rally in Manhattan's Washington Square Park brought out 27,000 people, one of the largest gatherings in support of the 74-year-old democratic socialist who has galvanized Democrats and independents alike with his calls for reforms to corporate America and remedies for income inequality.

Clinton attracted a smaller but still enthusiastic crowd of 1,300 people at a Bronx community center, where she made no mention of Sanders but focused instead on Republican rivals Donald Trump and Ted Cruz

1) They really, really, really like Hillary (this means supporting her policies), or,
2) They want to keep a Democrat in the White House and they believe Hillary is the best, if not the only, chance to accomplish that goal?

I believe it is number 2 as I see no historical record that shows they love Hillary. As a matter of fact, they turned on Hillary in '08 and I see no reason they would come to love her now. As a matter of fact I think most people have tired of the Clintons and their shtick.

If this is true, to argue against this, Bernie/supporters must be able to create a narrative that Bernie has appeal outside of the liberal half of the Democratic Party. And no, polls 6 months out don't do that. Hell, polls commenting on next weeks primary may be way off.

If the Democratic establishment, the main stream media and the super delegates continue to believe Bernie cannot win the general, Bernie supporters are howling at the moon.

Personally, I backed into Sanders as I was going to support anyone not named Hillary Clinton in the Democratic slate of candidates; that said, there are many aspects I do like about Sanders, specifically his take on issues and relative lack of character issues.

If Hillary Clinton loses the general election, teeth will gnash and the Sanders supporters will be blamed and in this case they may well be partially to blame.

The Democratic establishment blew it by selecting a candidate with so may negatives with voting public prior to considering a full Democratic field.

If Hillary Clinton wins, there will be Democrats that will immediately look forward to a primary challenge in 2020.

Regardless, Hillary Clinton will be a status quo rather than transformative POTUS and her time in office will pale compared to POTUS Obama.

I don't agree with this little part, that is blaming the victims. They endured so much slander, hate, bias, lies, propaganda, electioneering, that the independents that came to the Democrats have no blame for leaving, the Democrats that supported Bernie also are innocent since they have don their best to avoid RNC talking points. They are not spamming the airwaves with popegate, standgate, taxgate, raceggate, gungate, cubagate, fingerwaggate, and so on...

a successful 2020 primary to remove Clinton from office either.

I unfortunately believe it probable that Clinton is the 2016 Democratic POTUS nominee.

I also think that Hillary Clinton is the most likely to lose to the GOP in 2016 than Sanders or about any other Democratic nominee.

If Hillary Clinton is nominated then elected POTUS many good Democrats will hold a grudge and hers would be a weakened POTUS and there will be a weakened Congress for the Democrats because people will not go to the polls this Fall.

I don't like this and I am angry at the Democratic establishment that deliberately created the situation.
