22. Conservatives Don't Like Swear Words
Wed Apr 13, 2016, 10:16 PM
Apr 2016
Researchers from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) scoured the accounts of followers of both main political parties in the United States to discover the major effect political inclinations have on language employed on the micro-blogging site.

Liberals, or more left-leaning supporters of Obama's 'Democrats', were markedly more likely to swear - both 'fuck' and 'shit' found in their top ten most used words, after the commonest English expressions were removed.

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/09/15/twitter-research-language-patterns_n_8140730.html

Left-wingers are more likely to use swear words than their right-leaning counterparts, a study of thousands of Twitter accounts has suggested.

While conservative-leaning individuals are, perhaps unsuprisingly, more likely to use religious terms such as "God" and "psalm", those on the liberal end of the political spectrum are heavy users of "f***" and "s***" online.

Quoting numbers that are dramatically different than those in the public domain require genuine proof.

New York Daily News stated crowd in park and outside it, listening, was 30,000. According to several accounts park, at capacity can comfortably hold 11,000 to 17,000 but could hold 20,000.
Given the Sanders campaign estimated 27,000 total, I would guess the actual to be 25,000 to 32,000 based on first hand accounts and media accounts.

See, this is link to a reputable source:

You might wish to take the time machine back to DU on this date in 2008, to see that things were ugly then as well. The primaries are particularly tough on we Democrats because most of us make carefully considered choices about whom we will support, and many of us are not happy to see others going a different way.

Nor will I argue that the level of discourse is falling in America. It's always been this awful. Andrew Jackson's wife was savaged to completely that it killed her within 8 weeks of the election of 1828. We have always been scum.
