Clinton campaign chair: Americans 'can handle the truth' about UFOs - seriously?

John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, says it’s time for the U.S. government to release any evidence it has about the existence of alien forms of life in outer space.

Podesta, who was also a chief of staff to President Bill Clinton, told CNN that if Hillary Clinton is elected, she’ll ask for as many records about Area 51 in Nevada as the U.S. government has to be declassified.

“I think that's a commitment that she intends to keep and that I intend to hold her to," Podesta told CNN.

Area 51 is a remote Air Force test and training range that’s been the subject of conspiracy theories, including UFO sightings. seriously?

Bwahahahaha!

Someone has lost their fucking mind, or else holds everyone in so much contempt it is awe-inspiring.

Also - note the convenient "out" - Hillary will ASK for the records. Yeah, like we ASKED for the transcripts.

Just like when I was a kid - "I will look into it" means "No.".

The reasons have to do with national security. The US military has lost air crews and aircraft sent to investigate UFO reports.

GOOGLE Felix Moncla and Robert Wilson or Thomas Mantell for example of brave people who have lost their lives in connection with UFOs. Same for the young Australian aviator Frederick Valentich.

Personally, I think the Air Force and CIA know a lot more than they let on. I don't think they have the "answer" to what the phenomenon "really" is.

While there is much noise, there is a small, yet strong signal. Good information on UFOs has been documented from more than a few good researchers and writers, including J. Allen Hynek. He said the subject exists at the edge of reality. He found reports involving photographic and radar data particularly important.

Photos taken a world apart, one in Oregon the other over France.

The top image was one of two Polaroids taken by Mrs. Trent in 1950 from her farm in Oregon. The bottom was taken by a French Air Force officer in 1954 while airborne somewhere.

Mr. Rex Heflin, then an Orange County California employee, took a series of UFO images with his Polaroid while checking road signs that were being blocked by vegetation. Here's a better image of Mr. Heflin's first photo:

Note the dust on the ground directly underneath the object is standing straight up. That is hard evidence for some type of unknown phenomenon we wouldn't know about.

One photo case not mentioned that merits attention: The Trindade Island UFO (1958)

Details on the 1958 Trindade UFO case

Most of the crew of a Brazilian Navy ship witnessed the event, captured by a civilian photographer.

I don't know what the UFO things are -- or represent they are. I do know it is an amazing universe and I encourage others to learn about it and all its phenomena, even that which is odd or alien or doesn't fit in with my own perspectives.

this information.

Many thousands of people have asked, through petitions and correspondence, to see every document/evidence that the U.S. Gov't. has on the UFO phenomena.

And there are credible reports that UFOs have disarmed our nuclear weapons. Hence, the UFO phenomena is a national security issue, not just a joke that these posters claim it is.

Going from memory: When Dr. Hynek mentioned out loud the possibility that the intelligence behind the UFO phenomenon might stop a nuclear war by reprogramming nuclear warheads. He did not mention the Malmstrom events directly, yet he still caught hell from the debunker community.

I worked at a daily newspaper in the early 1990s. The people I met and the stories they told are amazing. They were truthful in reporting what they remembered experiencing. A few feared their bosses in the federal government for just talking to a reporter.

The secret government types really want a lid on the subject. More suspicious minds might think it's to play cough gatekeep cough operate cough profit as the middleman. All should be in favor of Podesta helping Big Brother come clean.

ETA:

Jacques Vallee is the Man when it comes to UFOs.

"I don’t think there is such a thing as “the flying saucer phenomenon.” I think it has three components and we have to deal with them in different ways.

First, there is a physical object. That may be a flying saucer or it may be a projection or it may be something entirely different. All we know about it is that it represents a tremendous quantity of electromagnetic energy in a small volume. I say that based upon the evidence gathered from traces, from electromagnetic and radar detection and from perturbations of the electromagnetic fields such as Dr. Claude Poher, the French space scientist, has recorded.

Second, there’s the phenomenon the witnesses perceive. What they tell us is that they’ve seen a flying saucer. Now they may have seen that or they may have seen an image of a flying saucer or they may have hallucinated it under the influence of microwave radiation, or any of a number of things may have happened. The fact is that the witnesses were exposed to an event and as a result they experienced a highly complex alteration of perception which caused them to describe the object or objects that figure in their testimony.

Beyond those — the physical phenomenon and the perception phenomenon — we have the third component, the social phenomenon. That’s what happens when the reports are submitted to society and enter the cultural arena. That’s the part which I find most interesting."
