Related: About this forumHillary Clinton DECLINED 3 Times On "Morning Joe" To Say Bernie Sanders Was QUALIFIED To Be Prez
~snip~
Following Sanders' remarks, Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon denied that she had said the Vermont senator wasn't qualified to be president. "Hillary Clinton did not say Bernie Sanders was 'not qualified.' But he has now - absurdly - said it about her. This is a new low," he tweeted. "Bernie Sanders, take back your words about Hillary Clinton," he said in a follow up tweet.
Clinton did, however, decline three times on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Wednesday to say that Sanders is qualified.
When asked point-blank by host Joe Scarborough whether Sanders was ready for the Oval Office, Clinton raised the senator's recent interview with the New York Daily News.
Asked again whether Sanders is qualified, Clinton dodged. "Well, I think he hadn't done his homework, and he'd been talking for more than a year about doing things that he obviously hadn't really studied or understood, and that raises a lot of questions," she said.
Asked a third time, Clinton said she would "leave it to voters to decide who of us can do the job the country needs." Earlier on Wednesday, the Sanders campaign sent out two fundraising emails reacting to Clintons comments on Morning Joe, as well as an anonymously sourced CNN report claiming her campaign was planning to "disqualify him, defeat him and then they can unify the party later."
Polls in Wisconsin haven't even been closed for 24 hours, and we're already seeing the start of the Clinton campaign's full-on attack before the New York primary. We knew they were getting nervous, but candidly, we didn't think they would go this negative so quickly. We have to be ready for what comes next, another Sanders campaign email read.

AUDIO: "The Clinton Campaign has been watching these Wisconsin results come in and the delegate race of course is tight there, but the reality is they're running out of patience . so they're going to begin deploying a new strategy it's going to be called 'DISQUALIFY HIM - DEFEAT HIM' and then they can unify the party later.
For the last several months, the Clinton Campaign has been first ignoring Bernie Sanders, then dismissing him -- now they are going to go head-long into him, I'm told, beginning here in the New York Primary in two weeks on his gun record, on other things. So Party-unity aside for now, one aide told me that will come later. They're going to start trying and defeating Bernie Sanders so that scenario you saw play out there on John's wall, does not come true. The Clinton Campaign is running out of patience. They want to stop Bernie Sanders, and move on to the Fall Campaign."

(21,210 posts)"Philadelphia (CNN) Hillary Clinton stepped up her criticism of Bernie Sanders following his victory in the Wisconsin primary Tuesday, questioning the Vermont senator's fidelity to the Democratic Party and knocking him for his inability to answer questions in an interview with the New York Daily News.
"He's a relatively new Democrat, and, in fact, I'm not even sure he is one," Clinton told Politico's Glenn Thrush in an interview published on Wednesday morning. "He's running as one. So I don't know quite how to characterize him. I'll leave that to him."
The critique was a step further than she usually goes on the subject, which she typically brings up to tout her own long history with the party.
Clinton continued that line of attack on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Wednesday morning.
Asked if she thinks Sanders is a Democrat, Clinton replied, "I think he himself doesn't consider himself to be a Democrat....."

Bill Clinton refuses to say Barack Obama is 'ready' for White House
Bill Clinton regrets some things he said - and didn't say - on the campaign trail. But there's one thing he still can't utter: Barack Obama is ready to be President.
"You can argue that nobody is ready to be President," the former President told ABC News.
"You can argue that even if you've been vice president for eight years, that no one can be fully ready for the pressures of the office," Clinton said Monday during a visit to Rwanda. That's probably not what Team Obama wanted to hear from the former commander in chief, whose role in Obama's election push and at the Democratic National Convention remains in flux.
Team Obama has said Clinton will be an asset, but so far he and the Illinois senator have spoken only once, by phone, since the primaries ended - a fact that has peeved some Obama supporters.
Bubba's backers concede his unwillingness to say his party's nominee is ready to sit in the Oval Office was a faux pas.
"The political answer is to just say, 'Yes,' period," said Democratic strategist Chris Lehane. "But as a former President, he has a special perspective on what it takes."

(1,377 posts)You can't coordinate in private. But openly is not a problem. If a campaign manger used same a obscure web forum to post a message then SuperPac reads it it is not coordinating. Or make 2 SuperPacs and run both. As long as one of them only uses the internet to pay for ads on a website run by a 3rd party you can talk to the campaign as that SuperPac. As long as you don't let the other you who is running the other SuperPac attending the meeting you are legal.

And if you look at that video posted above, her campaign said their tactic was to disqualify him.
But just go on ignoring what you don't want to hear. That always works out well, until you run into that wall you missed.

Hillary is the lowest in Trustworthiness, the only one lower is Trump. . . .so not quite at rock bottom for trust.
