Okay, here is an idea. re: Tax and Transcripts

If Bernie scrupulously submits his tax returns, to show how he spent his money

Shouldn't Hillary Clinton scrupulously submit the contents of her speeches to show how she made her money?

House sparrow I think, though the photoshopping makes that a little hard to tell. The birdie on Bernie's podium was a finch.

I used to catch them on my back yard porch when I was a kid. I was weird.

I would set up a bunch of bread for several days, then wait for them to get under the basket I had rigged. I would then look them over and release them. I know that sounds monstrous, but I was so dang curious as to what they looked like, and that was in my "before glasses you can actually see out of" days.

So, yes, my curiosity as a 10 year old was cruel, but I didn't hurt anything.

My science class wanted a bug exhibit. When it came time to bring in bugs to pin, I brought mine in ventilated habitats alive, and refused any attempt to kill them.

That is the best F I have ever gotten.

my wife (then the TA in charge of the lab) had a unit that involved dissecting oysters. She said so many of the oysters were ruined that they had to get a second bag. And some cocktail sauce. This took place in Baton Rouge.

Damn you, rogerashton, now you have sparked a massive craving for oysters on the half shell!

LOL!

God I love oysters (I'm from New Orleans). There is a little pub uptown that has the best of them! Unfortunately, since the Horizon spill, I'm afraid of Gulf seafood. That was a tragedy of epic proportions.

I'm about as frightened of something shady coming out of his record as I about him misappropriating funds for a doughnut.

Oh look, he went to Taco Bell and didn't tag it on the expense report as lunch instead of a fundraiser, because while in Taco Bell, he spoke his opinion on health care.

As someone who gets paid to review 1040, 1120, and 1065 transcripts on a daily basis, I can positively state that while they can show the totality of write-offs, they do not show recipients of said donations.

Now, actual copies of the returns....different story.

I couldn't figure out that mess if I tried, and I don't want to.

I'd much rather pay people to do it for me.

I'm trying to figure out which I'd like to do least:

1. Do your taxes yourself
2. Give yourself a root canal
3. Test the effects of sulfuric acid on human skin.

It's a toss-up.

Hillary Clinton has not submitted her taxes.

Is that what you are saying?

Look, I understand where you are trying to go with this, but a man with a net worth of $300000 is a hell of a lot less interesting than a woman worth $140 mil, that won't release the transcripts of speeches she gave for 225 thousand per.

Hillary Clinton cannot avoid falling off of the political rails even on a site run by her supporters.

It's sad because I want the grownups to talk about how we are going to change our policies, improve life for the least among us, and help people get educated.

when was the last time we had a trustworthy candidate, we are used to being screwed over. Bernie attacks the system, and the decisions she has made to contribute to the corruption, but she tries to ruin individuals, leaving the corrupt system intact.

Bernie has already EARNED a lot of trust and respect, and she cannot scramble to catch up at this point, after this many lies, no matter what is said.

At this point I don't care about Hillary's transcripts, her emails or her lies.

I want to get our nation back together in a more equitable state.

Hillary, Trump and Cruz will not do it.

Sanders *will*

That isn't stupidity, naivety or look at the nerd detached-ery, that is honesty.

I've never seen a campaign more terrified of honesty that Hillary Clinton's campaign.

I've no problem with her keeping the transcripts out of the campaign. She did what virtually all (maybe all) modern secretaries of state did after leaving office. She went on a speaking tour to share her insights. She was paid the going rate. She probably was polite to her audience and didn't rant at them. That being the case, in this election atmosphere, enemies would cherry pick "damning" statements like, "I'm glad to be here tonight," and other such horrors.

Kudos to her for being smart.

He will get to it and I'm sure much sooner than any transcripts will be released. But rather than wait for him to release - they want to stamp their feet and whine NOW NOW NOW. Well he doesn't carry them in his back pocket - so it's not going to be now. If they really cared they would wait to see them and then discuss. Or begin whining again in a couple of weeks if he didn't produce them. There is no satisfying children having a temper tantrum.
