Take this with a grain of salt (NY upcoming primary fight)

confirming reddit threads and all that, but...

I've been updating this post with people who post to this thread with issues. There are other unique threads of their own with people facing the same issue as well and people on facebook also. I will try to add as many as I can find.

A couple of my friends were curious about their voter status because the NY registration deadline is this Friday so they went to make sure they were still registered as Democrats and they WERE NOT!!!! They had voted before as democrats and have been registered as democrats for a while but when they checked their party had either been changed to NO PARTY AFFILIATION or even to REPUBLICAN.
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR STATUS ASAP AND MAKE SURE EVERYONE YOU KNOW CHECKS AS WELL!!!!

Forget who the hell you favor in this campaign ok. The only thing at stake is democracy with a small d ok. And if this is the case, what happened in AZ is just a preview of coming attractions.

Myself, getting the popcorn. Compromised elections are quite a show.

For all the talk about this being a change election, and the 99% trying to regain lost ground, I'm beginning to wonder if this election is going to be about corporate power consolidating it's gains.

sadly.

And a lot of the behavior reminds me of truly compromised elections I grew up with. (Mexico)

NY Secretary of State knows which democrats are Bernie supporters and is selectively changing their registration to prevent a Bernie landslide.

One can't make OPs like this up -- they are unique to the Bernie campaign.

by the way, there are many reasons to take this Reddit OP with a grain of salt. but there are several things that could make a voter a target for this.

Gender,

Age

Race

You follow? And all that data is part of the registration data. Of course, Harris did not disenfranchise tens of thousands in Florida either becuase they were on the future felon list either. I just love it how you all have one answer to what should be angering you to no end, REGARDLESS OF WHO YOU VOTE FOR...

A lover of actual democracy you are not.

understand that we peons have been peed on too long. Clinton wants to continue the exploitation of the lower classes to increase her personal wealth and the wealth of her sponsors. Those minions that grovel before her need to understand that those of us that have lost homes, jobs and retirements have nothing left to lose. So frack you and the horse you rode in on.

One of the main planks of our party used to be the right of each person to their one vote. I guess I slept through the 2.0 "upgrade."

but many of the followers don't have any maturity as voters. It is clear to me that they really do not understand the seriousness of this.

What i am seeing is a continuation of what Secretary of State Harris started in Florida. This is voter caging, a new form of it.

But they wasted no time in capitalizing on it.

I admit I'm too cynical to believe we have a clean election system, but I thought only the GOP were well financed enough to get away with openly crowing about it.

Yes people better check into this. Maybe it's nothing. Maybe it's something.

It can not be done tomorrow in order to fix the (...er lets call them computer "glitches" for now). The new rules state that any changes in party affiliation will not take effect until after the next upcoming election. So it is too late to fix any party affiliations "mistakenly" changed even if one makes the deadline to re-register tomorrow.

We have not only been screwed, but well screwed.
