Paul Ryan Mocks 'War On Women' At Private Fundraiser

Paul Ryan Mocks 'War On Women' At Private Fundraiser

At a private fundraiser in Naples, Fla., on Thursday, Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan mocked the so-called "war on women."

“Now it’s a war on women; tomorrow it’s going to be a war on left-handed Irishmen or something like that,” Ryan told the crowd of donors, according to Shushanna Walshe of ABC News.

Republicans, in response, have long claimed that the "war on women" is a figment of Democrats' imaginations and that women's issues are "shiny objects of distraction" Democrats are using to take the spotlight off the real issues this election.

Something bad has happened to this country and it's election process.

When Jack Kennedy ran for president, because he was Catholic, he had to make a speech to the people of this country stating his church and the Pope would have no effect on his presidency or the way he would govern. In this current world it seems as if every republican is required to do just the opposite and pledge his allegiance to the Catholic Church's rulings on many social issues. This is backwards and unconstitutional

If your party starts pushing legislation that harms left-handed Irishmen then yes that would be a "war on left-handed Irishmen".

Ryan and his fellow misogynists fail to recognize that when you tell women that they aren't legally entitled to equal pay for equal work, that their employer can decide, based on his or her personal beliefs, whether she will have access to contraception or even some other medical screenings, etc., that the Supreme Court should deny women the right to make decisions about their own bodies or burden them with onerous obstacles such as spousal agreement, invasive ultra-sounds, waiting periods, etc. women understand this as a "war on them".

I wonder how Ryan would feel (he probably wouldn't because he is wealthy) if the government allowed employers to decide if they will pay for infant circumcision, the government would make circumcision illegal because it is mutilation of a child when the child cannot speak for themselves (same argument they make about the fetus that cannot speak for themselves in avoiding an abortion), or allow insurance companies to refuse to pay for Viagara or other treatments for erectile dysfunction.

The issues are exactly the same but the men seem to feel they need to care for their women because they can't take care of themselves or are somehow lesser.

....

the Republicans believe they have been completely successful and are declaring victory in the War on Women.

Now they are turning the sights of their powerful political weapons on another group of Democratic party supporters: Left-Handed Irish Persons.

Fear for your rights LHIPs. Unequal pay, control of your health decisions, limited employment opportunity, insults and abuse are all coming your way.

I am especially concerned about our female LHIPs - doubly oppressed.

Ryan is an evil idiot.
