2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumCan the Clintonians and Bernites please just stop bickering.
We get it, Clinton is a shill for the PTB and Bernie isn't a realistic candidate or even really a Democrat.
Is it possible for supporters of both candidates to just dislodge the collective cactuses that seem to be stuck up your asses.
Look for the Record I'm a Bernie supporter. But I am not here to comment on the candidates I am here to comment on their respective supporters and how absolutely toxic it is starting to make this message board. I used to like coming here but the level of animosity is just getting fucking ridiculous. Please can you stop verbally shanking each at every available opportunity. I'm not saying don't criticize the candidate you disagree with just quit the childish bickering.

(12,081 posts)You are on an internet message board. There are nasty things said on every website on the internet. It is not going away. The best you can do is not participate in it and ignore it.

(21,046 posts)People are so sensitive and touchy (I'm also talking about in-person, not just the Net) that even if you are agreeing with them, they think you are arguing with them?

(3,411 posts)stay behind the bar when a fight breaks out. Don't try to break it up or both parties, likely as not, will join together to whup your ass. And then go back to fighting each other.
Sometimes you have to fight it out.

So, I'm guessing this going to be kind of a "not as I do" arrangement, then?
Also, *cacti. Improper declension really puts a cactus in my ass.

(7,670 posts)honestly, GD: Primaries is a cesspool filled to the brim with shit posts from both sides constantly sniping at each other, then retreating to their safe nests in the Groups to gloat over how they got the other side "good" with some pointless post after another.
Frankly speaking, these children, they haven't demonstrated that they have the emotional maturity of even 12 years olds, are acting like schoolyard gangs trying to see who is the biggest and baddest group on the schoolyard.
What I am fucking sick of is getting that dreaded summons to yet another fucking post on GD: P that is yet another post of pointless personal attacks from one side or the other that resolves nothing. These children need to learn how to grow the fuck up.

(45,851 posts)There's no reward for being a good poster and no punishment for being a bad one, how do you think that's gonna work out?
I started online political commentary on Usenet where there are zero rules so you can say quite literally anything and I know how to give at least as good as I get in that environment but it's boring after a while, there are only so many ways to tell someone to go fornicate themselves athwart ship with an oxidized agricultural implement.
