Stop letting the Clinton's show up to polling places during voting!

most probably a complete waste of time..but I suppose it annoys the right peeps.

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/stop-letting-clintons-show-polling-places-during-voting

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Stop letting the Clinton's show up to polling places during voting!

Bill Clinton violated voting rules in the Massachusetts primary where the vote was down to 2% between candidates by showing up to do a rally before people could vote. Hillary is in North Carolina as I write this and Bill is in Chicago doing the same thing with no repercussions whatsoever. They're not supposed to be within 150 ft of the polling places, it's time to enforce the rules already in place.

any other candidates. This is a democracy, and this is why we have limits set on how close any of them can come to the actual polls.

Back, Bernie, BACK!!!! BACK, I say!!!!! (Actually, I don't. The locals take care of keeping it in order. This is democracy in action, after all.)

for people here to complain about him. But, you know what, I never cared enough to wonder. As a volunteer with Election Protection I was never allowed within 150 feet of the polling place, but that wasn't measured from the outside of a building, it was measured from the lines and the doors. I feel comfortable that local officials take care of it; and if not, the candidates themselves know perfectly well where they can go legally.

Short version: I don't go grabbing at opportunistic excuses to attack candidates out of frustrated hostility. Their fitness for office, their competence in office, and their platforms are what I'm interested in.

You know this but spin, spin, spin.

So give me one example in all those years of volunteering when candidates for President or hell even congress showed up on election day to 'get out the vote' (haha!)

that Bernie has never campaigned on election days? Or that maybe he did it in some empty field somewhere? Get real! This is just plain stupid. Goodbye.

This is your reply.

Campaigning on election day is not what we are discussing but thanks for playing deflection games.

Fuck yes Sanders is in Phoenix right now preparing for a rally. Where isn't he? At a fucking polling station campaigning like a Clinton.

You are right this is plain stupid.

and I know a local congressman, who ran for mayor, was very much aware of local law, and staid OUT OF THE 150 Feet, as required by law.

Hell, we had to stay outside of that range as well, even as WORKING MEDIA.

This had none to do with democracy and if oh Sanders, was doing that, I would be calling him on that as well. It is called core values.

Can't shoot if you can't see the enemy, and where's the fun in that? I tried putting you all back on the margin, but nasty as this place is it is interesting for what it says about different kinds of people. So here we are, letting it all hang out for examination politically.

since I was a wee lad with my father. So we are taking Nixon until today.

I have never seen this sort of shit happen with any other candidate on either side. Candidates are making speeches, giving interviews, and waiting at their headquarters for election returns.

This is the sort of narcissistic entitlement the Clintons represent, and it is one of many reasons why I can never support them. I couldn't in the 1990's, and I won't start now.

social issue; and when waiting on line to vote, someone with an opposing viewpoint to the ballot initiative was standing quite a great distance from the actual polling place and holding up a sign urging voters to vote NO on the initiative; as much as I detested that viewpoint, in hindsight, they at least obeyed the law

but they're supposed to send me an email to verify my signature. How long does that take. It's already been about 5 minutes. How long does it take for an automated email these days?
Honestly, how long does it take? It's been about 10 minutes and no email to verify.
Almost 20 minutes now and no email. Anyone else?

Come on man, that is a joke. It has been 40 minutes so far and still no email from them that they said they would send to verify my signature.

Went and checked the spam on the web and it was stuck in there.

Of course each candidate has a right to vote for themselves, which requires entering a polling place. But loitering there, doing it more than once, or going to a polling place with a fucking bullhorn are all electioneering and clearly illegal just about everywhere. Of course it's also illegal to turn right on red without stopping first...
