You see, Bernie and Jane Sanders (under the pretense of a honeymoon)- went there to meet with those two well known nefarious spies Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale. The Plan was to win the Presidency within the next couple of years (along with stealing the secret rocket fuel formula) and then hand the US over to Fearless Leader and Mr. Big.

Unfortunately Rocky The Flying Squirrel and Bullwinkle The Moose thwarted the world's greatest no-goodnik's attempts at making the deal and decided to finally get rid of moose and squirrel once and for all- after Boris sent in his lady spy with a package which was really bomb. The door got locked, Natasha couldn't get out. Who got blown up? Boris.

It is only now- that Bernie and Boris' have another chance to follow through with their devious plot to steal the secret rocket fuel formula and turn the US over to those evil Red Ruskies.
