2016 Postmortem

that believes Hillary's window closed in 2002 when she voted in favor of the Iraq War? For those of you defending her this may seem like staring up a dead horses ass, but during that time we needed a leader to galvanize the democratic party. Fair, or not, she was the one many were looking to when it came time to take a stand against Bush, instead she validated him and his terrible decision making.
If she had not been so craven she could've expedited her transition from senator to president in 2004. At the very least she could've provided political cover for other senators to join her based on her name and the weight it carries within the democratic party.
Fast forward to 2016; she's ready to seize the mantle and lead the charge against the republicans with the problem being she's a day late and a dollar short . Where was this courage of conviction when we needed a voice like hers at our lowest point? It was MIA, just like she has been on many other critical issues of our time, so when November comes around she shouldn't feel surprised if many of us that have been effected by her unwavering loyalty to herself don't turn out for her.

(14,255 posts)IMO she would get badly beaten in the GE. Anyone I talk to immediately says Not Hillary. All the condescending and verbose put-downs in the world won't change that.

(6,829 posts)Her actions since 2002 make it very clear, she's as much a hawk as any MIC loving Republican

(82,383 posts)We may not agree, but the country as a whole - we were outnumbered. They came to see it as a mistake eventually. But no most voters are not going to punish people for that to much extent. Biden became VP and Kerry SOS. Kerry could have been POTUS. So no, that does not come out so fatal for most voters.
