Income Inequality grew More under Bill Clinton/DLC/3rd Way then under Ronald Reagan

Income Inequality was on Steroids under the Clinton's DLC/3rd Way administration

Where did the gains from productivity go? Well, they went to the top. Household income, adjusted for inflation, has grown 12X more for the top 1% than for the middle 20% ... and 24X more than the bottom 20%.

Democrats need to ask their self - Does America need MORE Income Inequality

Things just started to go bad under Reagan. Reagan drew the blueprint; Bush I and Clinton built the machine.

Income/wealth inequality should be tamed but apparently not too much

Express outrage over the terrible things that are happening, then vote for candidates that perpetuate them.

Those who craft and deliver the Democratic Party message to the rank-and-file focus exclusively on how terrifying are the Republicans. There is zero effort to propose or promote Democratic solutions to problems - ZERO.

Consider Democratic Underground: the "Pic of the Moment" on the front page is intended to be the attention-grabber and presumably the most important message. Look at what comes up on the first page of a Google search for "Democratic Underground Pic of the moment" - here are the first five:

None of these are showcasing Democrats or Democratic ideas. In the middle of a very, very heated Democratic primary, none of them contain anything about either candidate's platforms. The story is the same on Daily Kos and elsewhere.

It's all Scary Republicans, all the time. The conclusion to be drawn is that the Democrats do not have any ideas or solutions, and are relying on fear to coerce our votes rather than on solutions to earn them.

So much had to be fixed before the ruling class could reap the benefits. Mr Clinton inherited a much better position to increase inequality.

As someone who got one of those jobs, I "got" another 5 in two years as the dot-com bubble collapsed and various employers went bankrupt.

It's always fun to have the "Your paychecks are late, and won't be coming, get out" meetings.

Isn't the mantra of the Third Way that government doesn't create jobs; the private sector does?

Isn't that why tax dollars pay the way for private enterprises like charter schools?

I guess that doesn't prevent anyone from trying to have it both ways, though.

With the Election of Reagan,we had a full on shift from a economy of creating jobs via building and supporting infrastructure and other much needed Societal Programs. Once Reagan's gang brought in Grenspan,we went into total Austerity supply side economics and we are still in that mode.

but kept up (barely) a pretense of "social issues" -- with a few lapses such as the 1994 Crime Bill and "welfare reform," both of which Hillary lobbied enthusiastically for.

DINO -- that's all he and she are.

She, like Bill, will hurt the American people.
