Now it becomes clear that early political memory has been etched on Hillary's brain she can't shake it. Plus, Barry Goldwater was anti-civil rights and I don't freaking care now how young she was she shoulda known that was an evil thing, yep I am going there that is just fucking evil I knew it when I was a pre-teen and my mother is/was a raging bigot.

as a negative point but the fact that Sanders never voted until he was voting for himself is somehow moot. This is the same supporters that think Elizabeth Warren is some kind of liberal god but she was a republican most of her adult life. HRC has plenty to answer for & I can very easily vote next week for either on of them.

You made an assertion and you were asked to support it, and that's what you should have done. Instead you heaped evasive on top of your rude and build a real Capehart Sundae.

when people start talking about a politician like he isn't just another politician. Hell Obama was less of a politician than Sanders.

...does anyone here really believe that she wouldn't have voted?

This speaks to his character. I wonder if he'd accept that kind of attitude from today's youth? Not likely, now that his own political future is at stake.

Which is why I brought it up. Hell Warren voted Republican until she was in her 40s through Reagan & a Bush before she bailed. Yet HRC working for a politician as a teenager is a crime against humanity.

activist. For the decade of the 1960's, a decade in which many persons were taking activist paths for many incredibly valid reasons. Many draft resisters sure did not vote for obvious reasons. I personally support those reasons.
I assume that Bernie's 60's experience would be similar to my own experiences in the 80's/90's regarding activism and electoral politics. It was no easy task to get the LGBT community to the polling places. Much more prone to direct action activism. Convincing people that voting would help was a challenge. The Democratic Party was not welcoming for many years. When the Briggs Amendment battle was on in the late 70's, our Party was insufficiently supportive of LGBT persons and that's why Log Cabin Republicans got formed, to lobby Republicans to join against the bill because so many Democrats were for it. We had to take the few decent people from both Parties to make progress.
Straight America kept electing Reagan even as gay men were dying in droves without any word from DC. First it was all about the streets. By 92 we were able to get Clinton to play a bit of ball, able to organize a strong block of actual voters out of the masses of activist survivors and help put Bill in the WH. It took the plague to make that paradigm chance, the voting was part of a 'do anything, everything possible' mindset, not really because people were thrilled to be voting. It was 'what do we have to lose' and the answer was this: nothing. Nothing left to lose.....it was all lost already.

...enough of the parsing.

You deal in absolutes for everything you oppose in this primary and abstractions for the things you say you support.

There's not one goddamn excuse for not voting if you're healthy and able. Making excuses for not voting obliterates any genius that might exist in the arguments you make here.

...and the argument you make equating what a gay man might have felt to what Sanders was experiencing. What the hell kind of logic is that?

Nevermind. I'm done with the inane excuses for the faults of this career politician.

Algebra....

I have a 22 year old son and a 17 year old daughter. Guess what, one asks permission to go to the movie and the other does whatever he wants...he's at college and lives in an apartment, so mom and dad have no idea what he is doing day to day...see the difference between a minor and an adult?
