Public Integrity calls on Sanders to refund excess contribution from Bill Mahrer

FEC sends letter to Bernie Sanders campaign over “excessive contribution” from comedian Bill Maher, Public Integrity’s Dave Levinthal says on Twitter.

Letter shows Maher donated $5.4k in Nov.
Letter says Sanders “may have to refund the excessive amount” unless contribution was incorrectly disclosed, in which case campaign must amend original report with clarifying information

Oh, but that was to a super PAC, so that's different. I respect Bernie for not having to resort to a super PAC to skirt around the rules that would otherwise apply.

I do love the show. But he is more-than-subtly smug sometimes.

I assume the $2700 for the general gets put in a separate account that can't be touched until you win the nomination.

and recall a lot of refunds to people who over donated - they didn't have many donations, but they were quite large - that is what family and friends are for, heh.

Found some interesting things about Hillary and how connected to K street she is.
Also I didn't know that she in part is responsible for Citizens United.

And most of all Hillary loves her money from Wall St.

11. Did Hillary refund the $608,000 a businessman illegally donated to her in 2008?

From your source:

In 2013, a New York City businessman pleaded guilty to illegally supporting Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign with more than $608,000 in campaign services.
