In public, Sanders's campaign rails against superdelegates, but behind the scenes is another matter

And the Sanders campaign continues to try to flip superdelegates — the delegates not tied to a state’s electoral returns, who largely support Clinton and who’ve become a source of contention in recent weeks. Andres Ramirez, a superdelegate and veteran operative in the state who supports Clinton, said the Sanders campaign continues to try to get him to change his endorsement. He told them he has been in the state a long time and has seen political revolutions come and go, and was critical of the campaign’s missteps with well-known figures like Silva and the Culinary Union.

“It shows that they don’t have the political intellect to know how to win in a state like Nevada,” he said. “Some of this outsider, upstart shit can work in other places. But when you’re talking about mobilization and so-called economic issues that Bernie says they stand for, the Culinary represents that more than anyone, so why would you antagonize them?”

The double speak from the Sanders's campaign and his supporters on superdelegates are astounding. They rail against them in public, but behind the scenes, Bernie Sanders's campaign is trying to convert them to his side. Wow, the oozing hypocrisy from the campaign...

He knows what he signed up for. The supporters are railing against it on the Internet. That is grassroots outrage for the most part. I have zero affiliation with the Sanders campaign and I find the Superdelegates to be a ridiculous aspect of the primary. Just go ahead and pick the candidates instead of having a primary voting process at all.

I think it should be done away with in future elections and I don't like the fact that Sanders himself is trying to schmooze those Superdelegates.

However when you have supporters of one candidate gloating that the race is already over before it starts because their candidate already has enough superdelegates sewn up it is an issue. When a candidate only recieves 38% of the vote in Nrw Hampshire but has 75% of the superdelegates pledged to her, that's an issue.

What do you expect Sanders campaign to do, let the c election get stolen ?

There's no contradiction between being critical of something and also making use of it.

I'm critical of an income tax system that is full of all kinds of unfair deductions. I still try to take advantage of every one that I can.

And your post is a joke because arguing against SD's and still needing them are two completely different things.

Superdelegates represent 30 % of the total delegates count that a candidate need to win the nomination.
