2016 Postmortem

went after Newt big time. They knew his nomination would be a disaster for the party. Romney endorsements were fast and furious. The establishment assisted in destroying Newt in Florida and Nevada and thus giving Romney a big psychological edge. Now that Santorum has won 3 primaries in a row and is surging in the polls will the establishment go after him? His nomination would also be a disaster for the party but I see no indications from any establishment figures that they are concerned. There is an eerie silence. What goes?

He could very well be the useful idiot they are looking for.
They love their useful idiots!
Of course, he would lose in the biggest landslide in American history, so yeah, it would be bad for them. Even though they are clearly throwing the election again this year, a 10 point margin would not be good for them in the long run...

Frothy hasn't done that yet, so maybe they figure they have plenty of time to get him out before the convention.

The more people take a look at CPAC and the hate they are pushing people will not vote for them. If they continue on this road I think democrats can swipe both houses. What are the odds?
