Republican Fear Grows After Hillary Clinton Sounds Like A President At CNN NH Town Hall
Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton struck fear in the heart of every Republican from Paul Ryan to the Koch brothers after sounding like a president at the CNN New Hampshire town hall.
Hillary Clinton praised Sen. Sanders for running a campaign about ideas instead of insults.
Clinton dropped the hammer on the real progressive argument by pointing out that the litmus test that the Sanders campaign uses would mean that President Obama wouldnt be a progressive and Vice President Biden wouldnt be a progressive. On the topic of young people supporting her, Clinton said, They dont have to be for me, but they need to know that I will be for them. [Edit-I recall this comment getting great applause]
Anderson Cooper asked what was wrong with a political revolution, and she talked about the goal of universal care and said that she doesnt agree with Sen. Sanders that we need to start all over again. She pointed out that we are at 90% coverage, and it will be easier to get to 100% than it will be to start all over again.
Former Sec. Clinton was asked about appointing Supreme Court justices. She said that she has a litmus test, and that is to appoint justices who know how the real world works. She said that the Supreme Court has a view that she fundamentally disagreed with. Clinton pointed to the gutting of the Voting Rights Act and Citizens United. Clinton continued that she is looking for people who are rooted in the real world who understand the balance of power.
Clinton was asked about respectfully advancing the conversation on end of life decisions. She said that it was the first time that she had been asked that question. She said honestly that she doesnt have an easy or glib answer, but she would like to immerse herself in the issue, and said that we all need to do some thinking about this critical question................... much more....

(9,955 posts)...but, on Mourning Joe, they did not "join the conversation" about that - they led with Hillary's worst moment and Bernie's best. They really have it in for Hillary...

(70,218 posts)they actually did a segment later and my jaw dropped--Joe actually was praising Hillary for being strong. (Time mag article).

(11,583 posts)It is hard to not notice the depth and breadth of her knowledge, or her self-discipline. She does not flail her arms wildly or allow herself to appear flustered--she rarely loses her composure, as we saw for ourselves during an eleven-hour hostile grilling.
Even Rubio let it slip during the first Republican debate that she has the best resume for President. There is no-one more qualified and more ready.
She also knows when to listen instead of always lecturing. Certainly her experience has taught her much, but she is still open and learning from the people she meets and issues as they come up. She is the real deal.

(5,761 posts)Some do, sadly. Just like Hillary defending herself as being a progressive last night. She avoided the question and completely ignored when she called herself a moderate. Tisk tisk Hillary. Thank God it's not 1994 anymore.
Survey says!?
It's probably not best to do this in the modern age of YouTube and as was seen on CNN......

(9,955 posts)...people are making so much of Hillary swaying between moderate and progressive - like we've never seen that before? Like we won't see it from any of the candidates? It's so strange to see the different standard... every email, every word she's uttered must be examined for possible SCANDAL!
