2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI think I'm still undecided between Hillary and Bernie
I will watch the Democratic presidential debates on Sunday and I think once I see who has a good record, I will make a decision. I'm tough on Bernie's proposals because it seems unrealistic, but I want to hear more.

(13,870 posts)That is exactly what Nate Silver does. He doesn't poll or predict; he is a math and statistics expert and he aggregates all the data he can find to draw a conclusion.
Remember, in 2008 he correctly predicted 49 of 50 states; no one else came close to that. He had NC and Indiana as toss-ups, and at the last minute he gave NC to Obama and IN to McCain, but Obama surprisingly carried both.

(3,900 posts)There's no need to suggest that the OP is ignorant. It sounds like they are very knowledgeable and very thoughtful - everyone doesn't have their mind made up, notwithstanding what we see on DU.

"Teddy Roosevelt first called for (health care) reform nearly a century ago."
Barack Obama on Thursday, March 5th, 2009 in a White House conference on health care.
Many of the greatest ideas in history were unrealistic at the time. It was still right for Teddy to voice that opinion.
