Related: About this forumHere we go again: Militant atheism has become a religion
Just in case you miss the constant anti-atheist spam in the Religion forum.

Since the article is rambling and the title is a bit hyperbolic (in order to create traffic, no doubt) let me summarize for you: an atheist raised Catholic in the Netherlands rambles on about his upbringing and his journey to disbelief while disparaging other atheists - and some famous ones in particular - for being "evangelical".
He glosses over the intrusion of religion in everyday life in the shortest paragraph of his rambling tribute to his own enlightenment and accuses the "neo-atheists" of "craving dogma".
Honestly, with atheists like this, who needs fundie nutbags? So, Mr. De Waal, first I'd like you to say hello to my little friend, then I'd like to leave you with this final thought:

(6,452 posts)They can say, "look, YOU'RE just as bad as us, so YOU must be part of the problem." It's a way to deflect from the real issue - which is, god-belief is pretty silly.

(3,657 posts)The religies' faith is clearly very fragile. Now, besides their imaginary sky friends,

I brush my teeth the same way, every day . . . and when I shower I always start washing my right arm first. Tried switching that up once and started with my feet, but it didn't feel right.
Ritual (or O/C behavior) is important!

(12,132 posts)Left armpit is the clearly the only correct starting point for washing up! What are you? Left-handed? Ugh! You right-armists are destroying the institution of washing up!

And, as far as I know, there's not one single building in the world that was built just for atheists to meet and experience their "religion" in.
