The caller's mind slammed shut, obviously, while talking to people with a different world view. In the scramble to defend what he believes he came up with the absolute most absurd statement anyone could make.

That is frightening.

That's funny -- I was just listening to that very podcast a few hours ago, and had gotten thoroughly bored and fed up with the caller long before Matt did.

What is it about theists, intelligent ones some of them even, to make them come with these ridiculous arguments and premisses that any intelligent 13 year old, unless thoroughly indoctrinated, can see through? I suppose I answered my own question there, didn't I?

I've been listening to that show on and off for a couple of years now, and there hasn't been a single theist caller who ever came up with anything beyond the hoariest of tired old prime mover, first cause arguments and arguments from ignorance. Not one. Shame..

I don't even know where that freak was going with that, but it was such an immoral thought.

Yep, "I was a better Christian than you were when I was a Christian......and I still am."

Notice he didn't start off with that premise. He was trying to ease into it. It's still a flawed premise no matter how you phrase it.

And who wouldn't have called him a piece of shit?
