And I'm reminded of Red (Morgan Freeman) in Shawshank Redemption when he had his parole board interviews. All the ones where he's rejected, he said he felt he'd been "rehabilitated." In the one where he just doesn't care anymore, and takes on a completely sarcastic tone with the panel, he gets approved for parole.

Not that you should take the same attitude, only that what you're feeling now might give you surprisingly good results

back in the 90s, every interview I had that went perfectly, I was rejected. Once accused of lying and making up my portfolio.

Then I had the interview where I had an appointment earlier on the other side of town. Got stuck in traffic, was a half our late to the interview, so I figured it was over before it started. I spent the interview, with hiring manager and her boss, joking around and laughing at my own jokes. Laughed too hard at one point and watched in horror when a bit of spit went flying past the big boss's face No chance that he missed it. I saw his eyes dart in the direction of the spit and the straight ahead Worst job interview of my life. Got the best job I ever had, contracting for double (and eventually triple) what I'd made as a direct employee there at my prior peak Sigh. Those were the days...

Good luck

I got the vibe in my 1st in-person with "her" that we wouldn't blend too well, personality wise.
Yesterday's sessions were ok, I got along & was on the same page with the IT folks, and was subjected to a 30 minute monologue from the COO, but then interviewer #4 blew off the session. Not sure what that was about.

And on the walk out, "she" stated that there's 1 other person they're interviewing later this week, but that she's still getting resumes online & wants to go through them all "just in case" & should have a decision "by the end of July". Or in other words, "Myrina, you're really not what we're looking for but hang onto this rope for a month in case we don't find anyone better."

Fuck that noise.
