Vidic: Man U can win the UCL

Nemanja Vidic believes Manchester United can put two years of disappointment in Europe behind them and win the Champions League.

United reached the final three times in four seasons between 2008 and 2011 but were knocked out in the group stages in 2011-12 and were beaten by Real Madrid in the last 16 in March.

I'd say it's more likely they don't even get out of their group. Moyes has a terrible record in Europe, and this Man U squad is actually fairly ordinary with a poor midfield. I don't even see them as likely to win the league.

City handed them their asses, and I don't think a healthy RVP would have made the slightest difference (given how much time the ball spent in ManU's half of the field). This is a very ordinary ManU team, and I can't see them being a threat to the Bayerns and Barcas of this world right now. City (and possibly Arsenal) seem much more likely to do the EPL proud in the CL this year.
