The End Of The World Ain't What It Used To Be - Fallout, 1st Scene, Prime Video

Fallout is a game franchise consisting of some eleven games and spin-offs by seven different developers. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic timeline that diverged from ours some time after World War Two. The series retro-futuristic setting and art work are influenced by the post-war culture of 1950s United States.

In this divergent timeline as the fear of nuclear war increased the Vault-Tec corporation began constructing a series of underground vaults, ostensibly to guarantee survival of at least a portion of our civilization. Unfortunately the corporations that existed in this alternate future were wholly unscrupulous and devoid of morality. In actuality, the corporation built the vaults with the intention of conducting a wide ranging variety of experimentation and behavioral studies, most of them quite dark in nature.

In our new Amazon Prime series, the protagonist (Ella Purnell) is a vault-dweller. Events require the heroine to venture forth from the relative safety of the vault into the bleak, apocalyptic world above. In this carnivorous future, the naive vault-dweller is 'fresh meat' and absolutely out of their depth. She will be our guide through the wasteland and we will watch as she has to adapt to her new surroundings. She will also find her own guides during her journey. One will be Cooper Howard/The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) a former movie actor and survivor of the holocaust, now become bounty-hunter. This guy's going to steal the show.

Keep in mind that the games are extremely sarcastic and a great part of the series charm is how it parodies our society, much like Grand Theft Auto. The snark light will be on.

Series is dropping all in one batch two weeks from today.
