but unless he has career threatening injury he'll easily play longer than 5 years. Even if he doesn't live up to hype, teams will continue to utilize him as backup or starter on teams that need a QB. Accurate but average arm strength Matt Leinart will be entering into his 6th season so I'm comfortable predicting Luck will last at-least 6 years but I think easily more.

The reason why he was no 1-hit wonder, he was great every season. Even his redshirt freshman year, according to an article I read, an assistant coach noticed how well he was practicing and asked, "Why isn't he on the field?". I follow Arizona State and get a lot of Pac-12 games and there was nothing that Luck did that I didn't like. He was awesome as a freshman, ASU had a top 20 pass defense that year and there was nothing they could do to stop him. Luck ended Arizona State's streak of 15 straight games with an interception which was the longest active streak in the nation at the time. He has always had excellent pocket presence, the accuracy and arm strength you look for in NFL QBs. He ran a pro-style the whole time so adjustment shouldn't be an issue. His dad was an NFL QB and so was his coach for his first 3-years so that is another plus for me.

I doubt he has the work ethic issues that failed some of the top QB busts. Not all of them, Akili Smith was a 1-hit wonder and was selected based on that 1 year.

I feel I'm having a hard time explaining clearly what I've seen from him but I'm scratching my head my head at the 5 years prediction. I wonder what you base that on? Unless you're predicting injuries, I can't imagine it is based on reality.
