Nov 20, 1982 - The Play Cal vs Stanford

I was at Wash State at the time and it was the same day the Cougars beat the fuskies for the 1st time in about ever
My parents were at the Cal-Stanford game -- my father graduated Law School at Cal.
So it was a great day for the family

... to make that part more dramatic too, which is fine.

There were some penalty flags on the field, so the announcer was talking about that for awhile after the Cal player ran into the end zone. After the refs conferred with each other and they ruled there were no penalties to nullify the touchdown, then the announcer screamed that the Cal Bears had won.
