Remember a few weeks ago I was asking about 2008 Prius key fobs?

It turned out that my problem was a dead battery (note to self, make sure all doors are completely shut) I got the battery charged and the car has been fine since. At the time, I ordered a new fob, but was too chicken to try switching out the guts. I got the idea to use my husband's fob to practice, and got to it today. The work went well. When I tested the fob, it wouldn't unlock the door. The lock button worked, so I figured the battery I put in was good. I unlocked the car with the emergency key, tried the fob and it started the car. I got the idea of just changing the front panel of the fob on my fob and it not only fit, but all of the buttons work and the car starts. I am so pleased!

Both of the fobs had lost the external cover over the buttons and I think part of the button itself was missing from the center of my husband's fob. With the work I did, it has a new battery and the emergency key. It's there if I need it

Thank you for the help at the time, and being there whenever I need help
