Related: About this forumLove tennis but watching it on mute sucks. Anyone else just unable to listen to the
obnoxious grunt/moan/shriek/somethings in tennis when the men and women hit? For Odins sake. End of rant.

(3,877 posts)the game on tv muted, but listen on the radio. Thats not an option with tennis.
And I ended up switching to my recorded MSNBC shows too.

(7,282 posts)Azarenka are the absolute worst. I hated it when they made finals or played someone I wanted to see. Add "no grunting" to my list of reasons why I loved Roger Federer.

(3,877 posts)the rest of the match. Finger on the mute button, and muted only the instant of Trevisan hitting the ball. A lot of work but better than mute. And delighted at the outcome of the match. And Federer was all class all the time. Truly the GOAT and Novax Jerkovic will never know the love the fans have for Rafa and Roger.

(3,877 posts)the patient zero for this horror. I had become numb to it until I discovered something interesting about that Italian player last night. When she hit a fault serve, no squeal. When she struck an out ball, no squeal. It was only when the ball was in play, leading me to wonder if the squeal was an attempt to get in her opponents head. But, in conclusion, youre right, it has been going on for far too long.
