So, Does This Mean the Houston Texans Are Just A Bad Team?

Both Gary Kubiak and Wade Philips were fired by the Houston Texans. Minutes ago the Denver Broncos secured a spot in this years Super Bowl. Denver's defense was the main reason the team was able to beat the New England Patriots. However, Denver's offense may have performed better if Peyton Manning had not been the quarterback. Kubiak and Philips were not able to get this far with the Houston Texans. While with the Texans they seemed like mediocre coaches at best. So, does the Denver Broncos going to the Super Bowl mean the Houston Texans are just a really bad team?

He's even been a head coach. Your defense only looks as brilliant as your talent. He's a genius now. Before, his defenses were "too aggressive" and got burned. Houston was Kubiak's first job. He's the offense guy and his offense looks like crap. This offseason will be interesting. He's going to get the benefit of the doubt because Elway is his boss. Jury still out on Kubiak.

I think you need that to advance in the playoffs. There have been some exceptions (Rex Grossman, Trent Dilfer) but usually those teams have the leading defense.
