The Sky Sox's 1,858th home game since debuting in 1988 went to extra innings with Colorado Springs and the Nashville Sounds tied 0-0.

The Sky Sox won 1-0 in 13 innings at Security Service Field when Kyle Parker's two-out double scored Jason Pridie.

Remarkably, the Sky Sox's 1-0 victory was their second on this homestand. Before this year, the Sky Sox hadn't won a 1-0 game at home since April 27, 1996. Their ballpark is 6,531 feet above sea level.

Christian Bergman was Colorado Springs' starting pitcher in each 1-0 victory on this homestand, but he didn't get the victory in either Pacific Coast League game. Dan Houston (2-2) pitched the 13th inning Thursday and was the winning pitcher. Bergman, Rob Scahill, Wilton Lopez and Houston combined on the four-hit shutout of the Sounds.

"Originally, the Colorado Springs Sky Sox were a Class A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox in the Western League from 1950–1958, when the league folded. The Sky Sox's nickname originated with their affiliation with the White Sox."

If you've ever been to The Springs, you'd know that the sky is very prominent.

that would be the Hawaii Islanders, Padres AAA affiliate. Tony Gwynn played there. Al Michaels used to call the games. Then Colorado Springs, perhaps the most right-wing city in the land, stole them.
