Panda sets Giants hit streak record...

No one in Giants history has had a hitting streak to begin a season like Pablo Sandoval is enjoying this season. The third baseman singled to left field off Cincinnati right-hander Homer Bailey leading off the fourth inning of Thursday's 6-5 win to extend his hitting streak to 19 games, surpassing Johnny Rucker's previous mark of 18 games set at the start of the 1945 season.

Congratulations to Pablo, who is having a great start to the year. Gotta wonder though, looks like he's put the weight back on..

but he still has a ways to go to catch the mighty Matt Kemp as far as batting average goes. And Pandaval's defense remains sub-par.

How's the view from second place?
