... class and in a rack of reading materials, she had a lot of comics and not just "Golden Treasure Classics", but Spidey, Sgt Rock etc.

I asked her why, and she said any reading was reading and that is they read comics, they'd be reading the news and magazines and then books, too, at some point.

Reading is hard to stop once one starts. And comics is reading. And they need to be affordable.
