It was about 25 years ago when the Nez Perce tribe here was expanding all their casino and other enterprises. They had the money to expand their police department, so they put on more officers and they were stopping more drivers.

It was really a just a couple red neck racist that got tickets and were pissed that it was a Native American cop. It's the opposite of this. They tried to claim the tribal cops had no jurisdiction or authority. Obvious bullshit. The rest of us thought great! If the tribe wants to cover more area, that should help out the sheriffs and state patrol.
