Discussions continue to resolve August Wilson Center's fate

New York-based developer 980 Liberty Partners and Pittsburgh-area foundations are exploring a possible resolution to the sale of the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, according to an interim report by court-appointed conservator Judith Fitzgerald, an article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said Tuesday.

A status conference is scheduled for Wednesday.

980 Liberty Partners bid $9.5 million for the center and wants to put a 200-room hotel atop the center but allow the center to continue underneath.
